Mary Louise Kelly, a co-host of NPR’s daily newsmagazine All Things Considered, has written a memoir, It. Goes. So. Fast. The Year of No Do-Overs, about her hearing loss and coping strategies. She realized she was going deaf in her 40s, getting hearing aids soon after.
In an interview with The Washington Post, Kelly gives a down-to-earth account of her life with hearing loss as a journalist and mother raising two boys.
